  • Primary 4 were taken back in time and became evacuees children for the day! They loved learning all about how children of World War 2 prepared to be evacuated and got a real taste of what life was like all those years ago.
  • Well done to our P7 boys winning their Tri-county soccer section in DUY Loughview Sports centre against 5 other participating schools. That qualifies our school for the Mid Ulster Schools in the MUSA Cookstown next month
  • Last week saw Miss Devlin leave the school after 10 weeks in P7 in her final teaching placement. The children were taking part in a 'StarBooks' Reading Challenge;
  • Gaa Friday concluded today with a hurling/camogie session with new coach Colum Dillon. Colum hails from Lavey in Co Derry.
  • Never mind the visit of the ETI inspectors in Kingsisland this week, the real highlight of the week, was the eagerly awaited big match between P1 v P2. This game had everything from raw passion to sheer determination.

  • The Academy senior Ladies team who were crowned all Ireland champions yesterday. But a very special mention must go to our Star past pupil Orlagh Gavin who put in a dazzling display to win player of the match in the final.
