P3 had a fantastic trip to Cookstown Leisure Centre. They started off in the Leisure Pool followed by fun in "The Play Shack".

The long wait is over and the winners of the P2 Fidget Spinner competition have been presented with their very own Fidget Spinner to paint using their winning design. Well done both our winners

The Primary Four and Five children had a fantastic time on their end of year trip today.

The pupils all were ready to finally complete the infamous Sports Week Obstacle Course and as always the competition was fierce.

Primary 7 pupils had their final assembly today in Kingsisland Primary School.

What a super day the Primary 6 and 7 pupils had today on their end of year school trip.

Today we welcomed our new Primary 1 pupils, who will be commencing school in September, to our Induction morning.

Our new hall is progressing nicely. The bricklayers have built both external and internal walls.

Many thanks to Derrylaughan camogie coach, Ciara O'Neill, who has been coaching our young camogs every Friday during this term.

Kingsisland hosted our annual GAA Football Allianz Cuman na Mbunscol blitz today in Derrytresk GFC. Nearly 200 pupils from 6 schools competed, with teams in 2 different groups.

Miss Robinson decided to take the new craze of 'Fidget Spinners' and use them in the classroom and the P2 pupils just could not believe thier luck!!!

Today marked a milestone for the pupils, staff and community of Kingsisland as Mrs Gavin closed the chapter on her teaching days.

P1 & P2 were walking on sunshine enjoying the lovely weather during outdoor play based learning today!

Primary 5 boys and girls took part in a non competitive hurling and camogie blitz this morning in Cookstown.

Congratulations to our 10 boys and 10 girls who celebrated the sacrament of Communion this morning in St Colmcille's Church, Kingsisland this morning.

What fun we had today planting flowers around the school. The primary 7 pupils were busy making the school beautiful for First Holy Communion tomorrow.

The P6/7 boys attended the Tri-County Blitz today at the Mid-Ulster Sports Arena in Cookstown.

Today we gave a special Kingsisland welcome to Mrs Campbell's two sisters Tracey and Sharon.

From next week, the competition will get hot and heavy as the members will be drawn into teams for our summer 'Chess Champions League'! Stay tuned!

Primary 6 & 7 boys and girls had a great day out at The Academy GAA football blitz held in the Mid Ulster Sports Arena.

Vincent Van Gogh's 'ear' was certainly burning in Primary 1 when we enjoyed talking and learning about his wonderful artwork and painting techniques.

The P2 pupils couldn't believe their luck when Miss Robinson told them this morning they were using Minecraft in class!

Mrs Lowe took the primary 7 pupils outside in the beautiful sunshine today to repaint one of the outside murals. Needless to say, everyone had a brilliant day. Fun in the sun!

Primary 6 pupils took part in St Joseph's annual football blitz today. A great time was had by all.

P1 & P2 enjoyed playing some Olympic Games outside in Derrytresk in the sunshine today!

P2 are praying to Mary in the month of May. We visited the grotto and loved saying prayers and listening to the story about St Bernadette.

The weather was lovely today as the roof cladding was put on our new hall.

P2 have been looking at the art work of Claude Monet. We decided to do our own twist of his water lilies painting!

The P1 -P4 children had a very important Farm Health and Safety Talk this morning. We learned all about staying safe and keeping ourselves out of harm when on the farm.

P1 & P2 visited the chapel today. We discussed the important objects in the chapel and discussed the season of Lent and Easter during this time of the year.

P1 have been learning all about Holy Week and The Last Supper. We reenacted the last supper and one of the pupils took over the role of Jesus.

Our P5 class ventured outside for a bird scavenger hunt around the school! The children are learning all about flight .

Derrytresk Community Centre was packed to capacity today for our St Patrick's Day Concert. It proved to be a real treat for everyone who was lucky enough to see it today.

Last night's pigeon auction, held in the Chimney Corner was a fantastic success with a phenomenal amount of money raised. The event was organised by Henry McLaughlin (grandparent of one of our pupils).

3 Kingsisland pupils won their way through to the final stages of the all Ireland sausage making competition. The 3 girls travelled to Lowe's butchers in DUNGANNON today, and actually made their very own sausages.

The boys and girls were so delighted when they received their Big Summer Reading Certificates from Mary from Coalisland Library. The children have been rewarded for their use of the library and willingness to read more and more books
