  • Halloween Ugly Bug Ball!!
    We celebrated Halloween today with a whole school dance show followed by an Ugly Bug Ball.
  • Science Experiments in P6
    P6 also put on their Science Hats this week and concocted some Halloween Brews of their own. We looked at how we could mix an Acid and an Alkaline substance to form Carbon Dioxide, causing the mixture to bubble and spill.
  • Witch on the Broom by Julia Donaldson
    Our Literacy lesson on Julia Donaldson's "Room on the Broom" certainly came alive today in Primary One when Winnie the Witch appeared in our classroom to visit us!!
  • Sponsored Walk 2017
    We had our annual sponsored walk today. The children walked different distances to suit the different age groups around our local area.
  • Storm Ophelia Science Lesson in P3
    Primary 3 loved learning all about hurricanes today after Ireland's visit from hurricane Ophelia! They carried out an experiment to find out how hurricanes begin and how fast they travel.
  • P1 & 6 Reading Buddies
    Primary 6 seized the opportunity to showcase their wonderful reading habits by participating in a Reading Partnership Programme with Primary 1.
  • P5 Local Area Study
    What an exciting end to another busy week in P5! After studying maps of the local area, the children were able to use their maps to locate treasure boxes throughout the school grounds.
  • P1 Visit Coalisland Library
    Primary 1 loved their first trip on the bus to Coalisland Library this morning! We all enjoy story time in school and were especially delighted today when Mary the librarian, read a book from our new favourite author Julia Donaldson.
  • Did some 'body' say Science Experiments????
    Primary 2 have been learning about our body this week. We decided to get into the Halloween spirit and create blood using some classroom resources.
  • Double Double Toil and Trouble!!!!
    Keeping up the SPOOKTACULAR spirit in Kingsisland, Primary 2 used their knowledge of rhyming words to write a witches chant for concocting our very own witches brew.
