Girls Indoor CnmB Tír Eoghain

5 February 2026 (by Philip O'Neill (admin))

The Girls Coalisland/Clonoe indoor Cumann na mBunscol section took place this morning in the Oileán an Ghuail Na Fianna CLG Indoor Hall, with six local primary schools competing in an excellent morning of indoor Gaelic games.

The participating schools were St Brigid’s Brocagh, St Patrick’s Annaghmore, Primate Dixon Primary School, Gaelscoil Clonoe, Laghey Primary School, and Kingsisland Primary School.
After a series of well contested round robin games Primate Dixon topped Section A, while Kingsisland finished top of Section B.
In the semi finals, Primate Dixon overcame Laghey, while Kingsisland produced a thrilling end to end performance to defeat a strong St Brigid’s Brocagh team, securing their place in the final.
Kingsisland got off to the best possible start in the final by scoring the opening goal. However, Primate Dixon showed great determination to edge a narrow victory in an exciting and closely fought contest.
Credit must go to all the girls who took part, not only for the skill, effort and commitment they displayed throughout the morning, but also for the excellent manners and respect they showed towards one another. They were a credit to themselves, their schools and their communities.
A special word of congratulations to our Kingsisland girls, who competed superbly throughout the day and represented the school with pride.
Many thanks to Coalisland Fianna for the use of their excellent facilities.
