Today saw the highly sought after Easter Cup being played for by P3 and P4. After a highly competitive group stage, the Shield Final saw France and Germany battle it out.
Superb performances from Jack McAlinden and Paddy-Joe McGlinchey kept this an exciting contest, but after a goal spree from Paddy Joe, Germany came out on top to lift the shield.
This teed us up nicely for the World Cup Final, which saw Holland go up against group stage winners Italy. Italy were favourites after not losing a single game in the group stages but Holland dug deep as a team and moments of brilliance from Rónán Doherty saw them run out eventual winners.
Not only was the standard of football on display today excellent, but the sportsmanship was also second to none. Well done to Michéal and Patrick for their super attitudes throughout and to Jack and Corinna our players of the tournament
