Today, Primary 4 made the trip to Armagh Planetarium to explore all things Space and the Solar System. This was a fantastic introduction to our World Around Us topic of ‘Space’ for this term.
We began our day by watching a show in the Dome Theatre about the Solar System. We even went on a Space Rollercoaster! We then made rockets from empty bottles. Mark explained the different materials we should use and how we should use them to get maximum power from our rockets when they launched. It was then time to brave the rain to watch our rockets take off! We finished our day by exploring the amazing exhibition area they have in the Planetarium ![</div><div>Link: <a href=]()
