Victorian Living History
Primary 7 pupils experienced first hand today what life was really like for school children in Victorian times.
School lady, Miss Anderson re-created a Victorian school room in which the pupils had their fingernails inspected
for cleanliness, their shoes inspected for muck and their morals inspected for Godliness.
The class received a lesson in the 3R’s,
extreme measures taken in Victorian times to ensure that pupil discipline was never a problem.
The class then took part in an education workshop in which they had the opportunity to experience what it was
like to wash clothes on an old washboard, make butter and view some old Victorian Inventions.
