As the helicopter circled the school, getting lower and lower, the children quickly realised that the familiar face of Santa was on board. As the helicopter landed on the school football pitch, the reaction on the faces of our pupils was absolutely priceless. Santa then gave every child their present before he presented a cheque for the unbelievable sum of £7830, which was raised by Henry McLaughlin during his pigeon auction. Everyone at Kingsisland would like to pay a special, special thank-you to Henry not only for raising such an amazing amount of money through his pigeon auction but also organising Santa's visit by helicopter today and supplying all of Santa's presents. We would also like to say a massive thank-you to John D Quinn, owner of Chieftain Trailers, for flying Santa in his helicopter. And finally to Santa himself. All 3 gentlemen, being past pupils of Kingsisland, just made this special occasion all the more memorable. This event will be talked about for many, many years to come by both children and adults present today
